How to Create a Unique Senior Image
Read post
Do you dream in shades of color? The creation of beauty is imagined first in the mind of the creator.
To create a unique senior image, first you need to think to yourself - What is it that I want to see? How do you want to feel when you look at this image of yourself; joy, hope, beauty even excitement? Can you list three words out loud to yourself?
Before any shoot, I alway consider the way I want my audience to feel when they view the final image. Then I start choosing the colors, props, and locations surrounding that particular feeling. Sometimes I even pick a song that represents the image as well. Take some time to think about what it is that you want to create, then start a Pinterest board and begin pinning anything that fits within your current vision. Even if it’s a picture of a mountain or an abandoned house in the woods, pin it. These pins are a visual representation of what you're feeling artistically - and can immensely help when designing your final senior look.

"In this image, we placed a long gold mirror on a sandy dune and laid Ariana's head on the ledge. Then we draped a sheer white curtain over her face and let the wind whip through her hair. We played "Izzy" by the new Transformers soundtrack."
"This red bush was actually outside our studio next to the pavement. I loved the way the harsh tones of the bush contrasted against the white color of Carleigh's hair!"
"This image is one of our most favored images of all time." Quick fact: It almost didn't make it into the public eye. "It was taken in the Cedar forest just outside Troy Montana, and Devon wore a black crop top and large tulle skirt from our studio that was bunched with a clip in the front."
"This shot looks like it was taken in the deep forest, right? Wrong. It was shot just off the pavement near the city of Post Falls, Idaho."
"We absolutely love the Oregon Coast, particularly the city of Seaside. The ocean breeze, the seagulls calling, the sound of the waves as they crash upon the miles long beach. Needless to say, this is our happy place and every year we create something new in its favor."
Song choice: I"ll Show You by Justin Bieber"
"We were inspired by a certain image that Selena Gomez had taken a few years back. Try googling her name with the words "Purple flowers" behind it. You will know what happened here."
"So it seems that everyone LOVES mermaids. Like LOVES them... Turns out this image went viral on Instagram overnight. We woke up with a crazy amount of new followers and so did Jainy."
"Strange positions sometimes turn out the best. Ashley really had to work for this shot, but it was totally worth it. Perfect curve, gorgeous expression - This image really captured the heart of this project."
